It looks like the fanfixv3 one from a few pages back is the bios you wanna try first.

As for the downclocking you want to check your temps first. If that's within reason it's probably a power limit issue.

temps are good,when i bench,i put fans at 100%,never over 60 degrees

That wire looks like it's coming off the fan power connector -- maybe to provide a better ground?

There's no such wire on my Zotack 980Ti AMP Extreme.

It seems like later models have this to address the fan problems (found that my second card had one when I put the water blocks on).

Finaly got my loop back together

only have a potato pic at the moment but the aurora gold works really well with the purple

Looks good but you're not concerned about that stuff gunking up your loop?

Congrats on the dual Bitspower blocks. 'spensive!

Every time I think about going sli I think about what it'd cost to put the 2nd one under water and I shy away. Card and block is a 1080. Also @1440p a single 980ti does very well.

Ehh it will gunk but by that time I will need to break it down anyway.

Thanks! I am loving them. Bitspower design is where its at imo, just gorgeous. Spensive as hell, but the triple Bitspower blocks for my 780 lighting's still hold the sticker shock record for me

(When I sold them I did not even break even on the blocks much less the cards). Sli holds my 4k down in just about everything so hopefully I wont need to be upgrading right away

There's one local to me on CL that I'm super tempted. Started at like 375 amd is now down to 300.

My only issue is the cost to put it under water since Bitspower is the only block available and it's pricey.

Let's say I get the card for 275, + another 170 (plus shipping) for the block. Add more for a pair of fittings and the 2nd rad I will need. So now we're talking roughly 600 bucks to add a 2nd 980ti!

Now that is tempting. These guys have really kicked but in sli.

It is but we're talking last gen stuff. At ~600 that's a good 1080,sell my 980ti and block and there's the water block for the 1080 with cash left over. Currently my 980ti does well at 1440p gaming so stands to reason the 1080 does even better. Also the blocks for say an evga FTW would be cheaper than the Bitspower.

Guys, I need serious help. My card has been having issues for the past few months and I am at my wits end.

The issue arose when i was suddenly getting very low fps (like 20fps avg on FireStrike at 1080p). I have not overclocked the card as I was fine with the way it was running. So I did my research and thought I found the issue. In GPUShark, in the limiting policies, it shows GPU Voltage limit reached. I flashed to the latest bios available but that didn't solve the issue. Now this is where things got weird.
I tried to flash to the modded bios (v3 of the fan fix) but I didn't use the modded version of nvflash. I missed that point. So naturally, the bios failed to flash. I used the command nvflash --protectoff prior to flashing as well. And I thought, that was the solution - the protectoff command. Because ever since, the card worked fine. Tho it failed to flash, the GPU Voltage limit message was not there. My temps were idling at 36-40 Deg C at 1300 RPM fan speed. Everything worked perfectly fine. I averaged 16000 on Firestrike. I would get 80FPS on COD Infinite Warfare at 4K with everything maxed. Until I had to restart my PC the other day.
Everything went back to how it was. There was a rise in temp to 56deg even at 1400RPM and the GPU Voltage limit message was present. This time I tried to flash the bios properly to FanFix V2 and it took the flash. The GPU ran fine for a few hours but the voltage limit is back and the card cant get past 25fps on Firestrike or Furmark.

Any ideas what could be wrong??

I was never happy w/any of the pre-canned, modified VBIOS, so I rolled my own.

What exactly do you mean by "voltage limit" message? R U looking at GPUz?

The voltage limit is shown on GPUShark. Here is a screen shot: https://s11.postimg.org/wxe1osfoj/GPUShark.jpg

These are my Afterburner screenshots: https://s11.postimg.org/vsjzjet7n/Afterburner2.jpg https://s11.postimg.org/szqrzdsv7/Afterburner1.jpg

My Rig:Intel Core i5 6600K @ 3.5Ghz cooled by H110GTX
Asus Z170-A
16GB RAM
Zotac 980Ti AMP! Extreme
H750i PSU
Win 10 x64

I use 375.70 Nvidia drivers. I initially thought it was the drivers and hence used DDU and reverted to a version I had when everything seemed to be working fine, but to no avail. So i doubt it could be NVIDIA drivers.

The 980ti AMP! Extreme apparently suffers from fan RPM spikes. I notice that on mine too but its not a big issue for me.

My PSU is the Corsair 750i and everything seems to be working fine from it so I would rule it out. I do not have access to another PC where I can test the GPU, so probably another method would have be suggested.
