I figured since people are getting these cards there needs to be a place that discusses the cards itself. Without having to shift through posts regarding everything else. Above you will see all the AIB models and what they boost to. So that should be one question out the way.

Are all top tier 7900xtx cards out there on air right now. I have not found any review for them yet though. As I want to see what kind of performance they will offer past their boost clocks.

Can anyone with a 7900 xt/xtx able to check the vbios and confirm if they are on A0 silicon? From the reports these MBA's are A0.
I read that GPUz reads the board version not the silicon version? Didn't know that...And not sure how true that is.
Hold up a second... Can anyone with a 7900 xt/xtx able to check the vbios and confirm if they are on A0 silicon? From the reports these MBA's are A0. I read that GPUz reads the board version not the silicon version? Didn't know that...And not sure how true that is. Can anyone else confirm this?
i) Used DDU to remove drivers.
ii) Drained loop, removed my RX 6800 XT Pulse with Bykski block.
iii) Rig POSTed 1st time no issue.
In OS Task Manager showed ~8.x seconds bios time, same as RX 6800 XT.
Ran SuperPosition 4K Optimised, got 20K @ stock.
Tried 3DM FS rig black screen and turn off.
Re-powered rig, same thing occurred
Turned off PSU, card is clearly seated well, can see clearly PCI-E seated as it should be. Check power cables, again seated as should be. Using a Cooler Master V850 PSU, separate cables per PCI-E plug.
Ran SuperPosition 4K Optimised, got 22K @ stock.
Tried Heaven rig black screen and turn off.
Tried Witcher 3 rig black screen and turn off.
OS is fresh install only week or two ago, W10 Pro fully updated. OS is not stripped, but no bloat and excess in background from my apps I use or at startup.

@gupsterg did you let the card acclimate a bit after you received it? Just asking in case to find out the root cause of your issues.
I just got my Sapphire 7900xtx ref delivered...We have -7C outside the box feels like an iceblock.
Was about -2/3C yesterday here in the UK when got delivery. Left it ~2.5hrs inside box in my home, did some unboxing photos for myself, then left it out of box for ~1.5hrs.
Below spoiler screen grabs of install OS wise.
1st screen grab was RX 6880 XT bios time, as had read some stating long POST time on another forum with RX 7900 series, so noted that. Then you'll see DDU, then I drain loop and fit etc...
Looking at driver install screenie time ~4.5hrs time between receiving and driver install.
I was hoping for meaty goodness from RX 7900 XTX, but so far limited :whelp: ...
** edit **
Below attached is memtestcl as txt, change extension to rar. The Stilt sorted it back in 2021 when I asked him as it wouldn't test more than 4GB an instance, if anyone uses please share how it went for you, just be aware you can't really test full VRAM as some will be in use, so set 1 or 2 GB less.
Power draw max ~450W AC wall plug my total rig inc screen.
Original git repo, doesn't do more than 4GB an instance.
Just got confirmation from Alphacool that they are actively working on a waterblock for the 7900 XTX Merc310 Black Edition (obviously no release date yet).
Great times ahead!
AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is built on the same Navi 31 GPU as the XTX, but with fewer chiplets, which helps bring down the price. In our review this $900 graphics card is able to match the performance of GeForce RTX 3090 Ti that launched at $2000 just a few months ago.

The bottom right memories and probably something more is not there
Anyone with a 7900 XT | XTX and a LG C9 OLED? Could you test if Freesync works? This is a known issue with RDNA 2 where Freesync over HDMI 2.1 (4K / 120hz) won't work and only G-sync compatibility is provided at 4K 120hz (Nvidia cards only).

I‘ll get my card by tomorrow and will report back but as far as I know the C9 doesn’t have Freesync, instead it has a standard VRR implementation that actually worked on my 6950XT (only with the latest few drivers though).
this is impossible to troubleshoot unless you have another GPU (same one) with you..might be a dud batch..tried RMA'ing it? sounds a valid reason since games instantly crashes..AMD really released a half-baked product if this one is a dud..
Not running RX7900, but similarly power hungry and easily triggering transient card that would recently cause some weird issues with PC shuts downs.
It would run blender, superposition, realbench, even my Forensic Passware kit with network agents which forces both, GPU and CPU to its knees, but as soon I would start heaven or furmark it would instantly shut down.
If it helps anyone, I have custom cables that I have never had issue with, but for some reason after switching to stock seasonic 24pin all shut downs went away, in fact my whole systems seem to run nicer. I was thinking maybe org. seasonic 24pin has voltage regulator, but didn't look like it, at least from what I could tell, but anyways....how related is that to some of your suts downs I don't know, but I though I would put that out.
I´m glad you found a fix, but to be honest the card is not cheap it should be not necessary to lower any value to get the card stable, cant you request a replacement, before the exchange days will be expired?
If you're OK with the reference model, keep a tab open on the AMD store. I refreshed it yesterday and the XT was available for majority of the day. I checked today whilst reviewing emails ~10am, and the XTX became available. My order went through. ~1,350 CAD + TAX on AMD website.
