This has been an ongoing progress mod..
time in all ...probably 30 odd hours, its hard to really put a timeframe on it. I lost count, it was more a labour of love..

As atuned to fine details as I remember on this forum, from all those years back.

Yes .. I haven't don't anything with the fan cables yet..
Mostly because the fan arrangement is almost a living thing with it changing and all.
I will be doing the fan cables in white once I get my second silent wings 3 fan for the CPU cooler and my Lamptrom fan controller .

On a totally different topic, how do you like those Audioengine speakers for your desktop? I've been debating a pair.

 

The fans are in positive pressure, and they work well ....
The rear fan will be removed and another added to the CPU cooler.

If you're looking for pure fidelity then these maybe an option, they have bass but its not thick. The bass feels more light and bouncy, however the mids and treble is the strength here.
The Mid lends itself to voice beautifully to the point you can hear the real beginning and end of words in a song... the treble is like glitter (if it could make a sound). It sets up a medium/large sound stage... but missing the really low bass weight.

For the price, especially here in AUS ... you can get weightier monitors.. but if you're looking at getting the whole ecosystem ...aka the sub as well, you will get beautiful sound as a whole..

 

They're on my radar specifically because of their relatively small footprint, actually. Thanks for your review!

The case used was the original p400 , but I brought the p400 air front plate separately.
