Hello!

First of all I'll list my system specifications.

CPU - AMD FX-8320 (Stock speed). (CPU FAN - Cooler Master Hyperx TX3 EVO).
Motherboard - Asrock 970 Extreme3
GPU - MSI 7850 2GB (Stock speed).
RAM - Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz (Running on OC mode).
CASE - In Win Dragon Rider, Full Tower
Newest BIOS version.

Things I would like to recieve from you guys:

I would like to know, how to Overclock my PC...
All on my PC is running on stock speed(not counting in RAM). I'm looking forward to OC my PC,but I have no idea, how to do it correctly. I've heard about AMD Overdrive and other things, but I'm not sure, will I do all correctly. I hope anyone of you guys will help me,to Overclock my PC correctly, without any problems. I'm first time Overclocker! Looking forward to your help! Thank you!

All best.

This should be handy for OverDrive OC'ing, but with a shiny mobo like that I reckon you'll be better off doing some proper OC'ing, or getting the mobo to do it for you [see AXTU at the bottom], I am not at all ashamed to say that atm this is what I am doing, as I don't need any more than 4.5GHz out of mine yet.

For proper OC'ing, I think this should be of help, otherwise there are various logs on OCN itself.

Thank you for your reply! I tried to OC,while starting system..it's calld " X-BOOST " ...well,after like 5-10min my system hanged. So I re-booted and cutted thouse settings out. I have still no idea, how to OC correctly. Can you help me?

What things should I also disable in Bios if I am overclocking?
Like cool&quiet...

Deffo disable cool&quiet, otherwise it depends on the board. TBH when I look at all the things I can change on mine if/when I go in for some proper OCing I feel a bit lost. With any luck yours won't have quite the same plethora of scary settings.

Did you have a look at this link? I think it would be really helpful. I know its a lot to read but overclocking is not a really a casual Sunday afternoon thing (unless your board does it for you

), more of a 72-hours-straight-if-you're-lucky type thing.

AMD Overdrive might be the easiest option if you feel lost in the BIOS, but you won't be able to get as much out of it.

Disabling CnQ is NOT necessary for overclocking and getting good results. This is a common myth. Though, on Phenom II processors CnQ just stops working at really high multipliers.

Absolutely true !

Good overclock is overclock that does not sacrifice anything in terms of power save and features.
