I want a set of #s to set in EVGA to set my BFG card to. I need stable setup for folding and its not a + series. BFG 9800GTXOC card and also a BFG 9600GTOC card as well. I have tried a few #s from others but it stops producing. I am only getting 3700-3800PPD on the 9800GTX and 3200-3500PPD on the 9600GT. Overall F@Hmon totals to around 7000-8800PPD. Including a PD-940 stock(can not OC till new mobo comes) and C2D E6750 OCd to 3.2Ghz.

I want to and should beable to hit 9500-10,00PPD with both should I not?

All are run in WinXP SMP and Tray.

100% correct.
It depends on the WU that is going at the time. The 353 are very fast, the 384 are a little slower, and the 511s are PPD killers.
If you want to OC the card for folding, just increase the clock for the shaders only. The core and memory clocks will have little to no effect.
Since you have a 9800GTX, it is pretty much the same card as mine. I have my shaders set to 1949 on each card, and that is a conservative OC. You can push your shaders well past 2000, maybe even 2100. Use RivaTuner to OC and control the fans, and use ATITool to test the stability of your OC.

Now I got 511 and its dropped. Blah. The stats say I average 7000PPD. I just wanted to see if I could get the set up to produce say 9000-10,000. but I guess not. When I build the new system I will probably get there then. Shader needs to be higher on both??

511s are very hard on the GPU. Check your GPU temps, and make sure they are below 80C. I have heard many stories of people dropping WUs because of heat.

Trying some of the setups now. Temps were at 80 but I spun up the fans using EVGA precision. I left both linked and tried these numbers.

I think its time to clean the old farm again. I have bunnies running amuck in my puters. Thanks Spaceball Trueg50 and Corky. + rep

Now lets see if I can hold a little more PPD.

Biggest thing though is to pop off the stock cooler, and reapply the arctic silver, the original job is pretty terrible.

Or if you get bored, you could lap the stock cooler; that dropped my temps a few degree's.
Was thinking the same thing myself. Turned fan up and got it down to 76 untill I clean it. I have a case mod I am working on to put this system in. Placing a 120mm in bottom feeding air to card. I have run out of funds for it but its there when i go back to work. Plus a top exhaust 120mm as well. been out of work since Nov. but hanging in there. Waiting on a call now for 2 jobs back at Autozone or Advance. Going for management. To old for other career changes now
